The technology is mainly used to improve the terminal display, including TV and computer screens, the products cover large and medium-sized product applications, and is actively developed for commercial applications such as strip screens, splicing screens, curved screens or other special applications. ØEVA low color offset technology
Although the conventional LCD panel technology 8domain has a good viewing Angle, it has the defect of low penetration. Compared with the 8domain design, the penetration rate of 4domain can be increased by more than 30%, but the pixel design of 4domain is not subdivided, and the color bias is more serious when viewing from a large viewing Angle. In view of this defect, HKC independently developed an EVA driven display algorithm, which can be adjusted at pixel or sub-pixel level, so that adjacent pixels or sub-pixels have light and dark differences, simulating the effect of 8domain.
The technology is a drive display technology that can be applied to panel products of various forms or resolutions, functions and is integrated into the drive circuit design. The EVA driven display algorithm was developed with the LCD panel of 4 domain. Through H/L table (table of light and dark parameters) in T-CON, the graininess of the picture was improved through algorithm optimization, and the problem of poor processing of image and text details was further improved. 4domain pixel design has a high penetration rate, but the color becomes lighter (color bias) when viewing from a large Angle. 8domain pixel design divides a sub-pixel into two parts: main and sub, and the brightness of main and sub is different. When viewing from a large Angle, the rotation Angle of the LCD is not in the same direction, and the cumulative effect of human eyes is better. The problem of side view color lightening is solved, but the 8 domain design has low penetration.
HKC 8domain pixel adopts 3M design, the technology design is simple, the storage capacitance is moderate, the corresponding opening rate is large. At the initial stage of design, the area ratio of Main and Sub can be optimized, and the voltage ratio of Main/sub can be adjusted after output, so as to take into account the penetration rate and side-view color deviation. Compared with Charge Sharing and COM swing design, it is more suitable for 4K/8K products, as well as COA and PFA processes.
