As a rising star in the automotive display sector, HKC has not only achieved a breakthrough from 0 to 1 but also made milestone progress in technological innovation by successfully developing a high-brightness, wide-viewing-angle, and low-reflection automotive display screen, which was smoothly exhibited at the CES 2025 exhibition and won the favor of numerous clients.

HKC's newly developed 10.25-inch automotive display screen integrates various new technologies such as TRD+ wide-viewing-angle, fully meeting the German OEM 5.1 European standard in terms of brightness, viewing angle contrast, and low surface reflection, thereby further enhancing in-car users' visual experience and interaction.

Brightness and Viewing Angle Contrast Enhancement

Brightness Enhancement: The white-state brightness in the vertical area (⊥), A+ area, A area, and B area reaches 1200 nits, 1177 nits, 550 nits, and 350 nits, respectively, meeting European automotive specifications. The increase in brightness means that the display can more efficiently utilize backlight, thereby reducing the host drive voltage and current and ultimately lowering the power consumption of the in-car display.

Viewing Angle Contrast Enhancement: The viewing angle contrast in the A+ area, A area, and B area reaches 1200:1, 650:1, and 350:1, respectively, aligning with European automotive standards. Higher viewing angle contrast ensures that the image remains clear when viewed from a large angle, significantly enhancing the viewing experience for passengers in the vehicle.

The A+ area, A area, and B area represent the performance requirements of European automotive displays within different viewing angle ranges.

A+ Area: The core viewing area, typically the viewing angle range when the driver and front passengers face the screen directly. Within this range, the display needs to provide the best image quality and brightness.

A Area: The viewing angle range slightly deviated from the front, typically the viewing angle when the driver or passengers are slightly turned. Within this range, the image quality and brightness of the display will slightly decrease but must still maintain good visibility.

B Area: The wider viewing angle range, typically the viewing angle for passengers in other positions in the vehicle. Within this range, the image quality and brightness of the display will further decrease but must still ensure basic visibility.

Automotive products with a wide-viewing-angle design exhibit significantly better image clarity when viewed from the top-left, top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right angles.

Significant Reduction in Surface Reflection

Through verification of the materials inside the box and the product surface design, the surface reflection can be reduced to less than 1.1%. Further improvement in reflection performance enables clearer image display, alleviates visual fatigue, and enhances users' daily experience.

This automotive display screen, featuring high brightness, wide-viewing angle, low surface reflection, and meeting the European standard for the surface temperature GTG response time of monitoring products, can be widely used in both pre-installed and aftermarket automotive scenarios of smart cars, including central control displays, co-pilot entertainment screens, rear entertainment screens, and electronic rearview mirror displays. Currently, this product has been successfully applied in European clients' automotive products and received market recognition.
